About Pastor Racquel Harris

Pastor Racquel Harris has a passion for serving the Lord and Evangelism. She accepted Christ into her heart at the age of 9 and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a teenager. In 1994 she was selected as a Youth Ambassador to represent the State of Indiana at the Church of God in Christ International UNAC convention under the late Bishop Henry Ford. Shortly thereafter, she was selected to serve as the Y.P.W.W. Chairlady for the Joshua District under Dr. Leonard Brooks. Additionally, Pastor Harris served as the District Evangelist for the Fresh Oil District under Bishop Charles Dowdell, in the Indiana 4th Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Donald L. Alford. Pastor Harris pioneered a City-Wide Crusade in 2008 for which people from different backgrounds and communities joined hands and marched in downtown South Bend to profess their love for Jesus Christ. Her love for Evangelism culminated in a television broadcast. "Living Water" and (Now "Life In the Word",) which aired on WHME, TV-46, Harvest 103.1 F.M., and WUBS 89.7 F.M., which continues today.

 

Pastor Harris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication from Indiana University. She is currently earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources at Purdue University. Pastor Harris earned certifications in Human Resources as a Professional (PHR), and (SHRM-CP), and certification as a Risk Management Consultant.  She built a stellar career as the Human Resources Director at The South Bend Tribune for 16 years and is currently the President and CEO of her own Human Resources consulting firm. Pastor Harris is recognized in the community as a servant leader which has earned her numerous awards including the Martin Luther King Drum Major award presented by former Mayor Jeff Rea, The “40 under 40” recognition by the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce, The Seven Seals Award by the ESGR, and the Michiana Chapter Society for Human Resources Management 2010 Leader of the Year. She served on the Indiana State Council for the Society for Human Resources Management as a Historian and School to Work Representative, The YWCA Personnel Committee, The Bridges out of Poverty Board, the Community Coordinated Child Care Board of Directors, and Chapter President of the Michiana Society for Human Resources where she led the team to receive the 2008 Chapter of the Year Award for the first time in the chapter’s history.

 

She is the loving wife of Pastor Will Harris and together they have three beautiful children; Grant, Hilary, and Gabriel. Pastor Harris has the vision to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ all over the world. She is dedicated to putting the spiritual health of families first.
